How to get the most out of life?
We've all heard of this statement "life is not a bed of roses, right? This can affect our view of life but still make us think rationally. But if life isn't a bed of roses, how do we get the most from it?
That simple looking question is actually tougher than it looks. Some people say the answer is just to say "no worries "and let all the problems slide by. Some say it's just letting the problem weigh you down might be a simple solution.
But if there's anything like a solution for life's overbearing problems, it's RESILIENCE. It's quite simple actually.
It's all about bouncing back when life throws you off balance. It's this inner strength you have that allows you to go through the toughest and still get your head in the game.
I remember once that when I lost a family member, my life went all wobbly. My relationship with people became awkward and I blamed myself for everything bad thing that happened to me without taking responsibility.i was a mess. It took me quite a while to realise this: If that she's her with me, would she be happy that I I had destroyed everything I built just because of an incident?
This gave me some sort of confidence or inner strength to bounce back and keep going.
This doesn't mean avoiding your problem because it makes it a whole lot worse. It means facing your problem head on.
Of course life has it's challenges, they're just stumbles that teach you how to keep on going. The mistakes you make teaches yourself and others. If Edison had given up on the lightbulb (which was such a great idea, that it was made the symbol of all good afternoon ideas), the world would have been in a 'real dark age' :) But he kept on bouncing back..
Resilience can be hard to develop, but if you find a good reason to live life, you've got it all covered.
